My
name is Linda Chesky Fernandes and I am the owner
of Polka Doll. My father, Larry Chesky, dedicated
his life to the polka music industry. For over 50
years, he made what I view as a very significant
contribution. During that span of time, his father,
my grandfather, Poppa Joe Chesky and my grandmother
Wanda, started a record company. It's name was Rex
Records. The record label would eventually be known
as one of the premiere recording companies whose
commitment to the promotion of polka music would
be legendary. Polka music and polish culture have
always had a place in the Chesky family and I am
grateful that I have the opportunity to carry on
the legacy that was started by my grandparents and
carried on by my father.

am honored that I have been afforded this opportunity
to promote polka music and polish products and hope
that through this venture I can expose a wide range
of Polish-Americans to our joint heritage. Polish
